Get Size of Folder Contents
This utility allows for two modes of operation:
1) This Folder Only.
Search is NOT conducted in any subfolders. Just the current folder
2) All Sub Folders and Their Sub Folders
Search explores every sub folder and their subfolders until it can't find anymore folders to search.
Valid Search Criteria:
Search criteria can be in one of two forms:
1) Single File Type Search
2) Multiple File Type Search
Single File Type Search and using WildCards:
A wildcard is the asterisk: *
Suppose you want to find out how much disk space is being consumed by setup programs and files that are no longer needed. Since setup.exe files sometimes are named setup1.exe, setup2.exe etc. The following search criteria would work:
Setup*.*
Setup*
*Setup* - This would find Msetup2.inf
If you only wanted setup.exe files:
Setup.exe
Setup*.exe
*Setup*.exe
Multiple File Type Search
When performing a multiple file type search, the only valid character that may appear to the left of the (.) dot is the (*) star or wildcard character.
Different file types must be sperated with a colon (;)
NO SPACES allowed.
Such as:
*.jpg;*.tif;*.bmp
OR
*.exe;*.com;*.ini
Adding Your Own Criteria to the List:
You may permanently add your own search criteria to the list with the Add to List Button.
