Editing Existing Project and Templates

If you wish to easily edit a project or template, simply open it up in the Print window, make your changes by clicking and dragging photos around, changing text etc., and then re-save the project or template.

However, if you wish to edit the actual template or project file, you can do so.

The Project and Template files are simple text files located in: C:\Program Files\PhotoELF\ELFfiles\PPL\

They will have a file extension of either: .project or .template

You may open these files and look at them using any text editor.

You can also right click the Project or Template list box in the print window and a menu will appear which will allow you to view and edit the raw file.

This help topic will not go into great detail about these files as they are self-explanatory to the advanced user and should only be edited by an advanced user who instantly recognizes how these files work.

You can force a rotation on a photo in either a project or a template, that will override standard protocal:

Scroll up the page and you will see that there is information for each photo.

One of the line items under each photo is: Edit:

If you wish to force a clockwise rotation of 90 degrees on that photo, you would edit this line to read:

Edit: Rotate 90

Likewise, you can rotate counterclockwise 90 degrees by typing:

Edit: Rotate -90

You can also do a 180 degree rotation by typing:

Edit: Rotate 180

Adding this to the template will force this type of rotation.

Other Information: All dimensions: top, left, height & width are values in a unit of measurement called: Twips

There are 1440 twips per inch on a printed page.
As a general rule (but not always), there are 15 twips per pixel.
